Annual Paryushan Parva
Paryushan Parva is the most auspicious and spiritually significant festival in Jainism. Stahnkwasi Dariyapur Samiti organizes this sacred event every year with immense devotion and discipline. The week-long celebration is dedicated to self-reflection, penance, non-violence, and spiritual upliftment. Each day features inspiring pravachans by learned Jain monks and scholars, samuhik pratikraman, and evening bhakti bhavna sessions that immerse devotees in devotional music and prayers.
This event is not just a ritual—it is a journey within. Members are encouraged to participate in fasting, swadhyay (scripture study), and practicing forgiveness, which culminates with the sacred day of Samvatsari, where the entire community comes together to seek and grant forgiveness through “Micchami Dukkadam.”
The atmosphere throughout the week remains calm, focused, and spiritually charged. Whether you’re observing complete fasting, taking part in partial upvas, or attending daily sessions, the samiti provides an inclusive and supportive space for everyone.
